Schedule of the Luxor Day Trip Private
Day trip to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and drive in a modern, comfortable and air-conditioned car via Safaga along the newly developed desert road. After about 225 km you will reach the Nile Valley in Qena. On the way you will stop at a rest stop to take a break, stretch your legs or use the toilet.
After a short break you will continue on the densely populated country road to Luxor (approx. 60 km). During the trip you will see many small and large towns and gain insights into typical Egyptian everyday life.
When you arrive in Luxor, your adventure begins. After a short break for refreshments you will visit the largest temple complex in the world with the impressive Hall of Columns. The bus will then take you to West Thebes, where you will enjoy a typical local lunch.
After the lunch break you will explore the world-famous Valley of the Kings and visit the impressive royal tombs. New: Taking photos with your cell phone in the tombs is now permitted without flash and without charge! Afterwards, you will visit the terrace temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an excellent location for fascinating photos. Your tour ends at the impressive Colossi of Memnon.
On the return journey, you have time to review the impressions of the day or watch the hustle and bustle on the Nile. You will return to your hotel around 8 p.m. This day tour to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings will stay in your memory for a long time.
